The NAHB Leadership Training Conference Grant is designed for those who are currently engaged in leadership at their state or local HBA. The grant supports those who aspire to learn more about the NAHB Federation and to further develop their leadership skills.

NAHB provides up to 10 grants per event. Selected grant recipients are eligible for a one-time stipend of the cost of the event registration fee for the NAHB Leadership Training Conference they attend. Program participants will be awarded the stipend after the event if all eligibility requirements listed below have been fulfilled.

Due to the limited number of available grants, please ensure you can commit to attending the event prior to submitting your application.

Who is this program for?

The Leadership Training Conference Grant is designed to support member leaders who:

  • Have not previously attended an NAHB Leadership Training Conference.
  • Reside in the Area but outside of the conference location.
  • Require financial support to attend the conference.

The ideal candidate is currently serving in a leadership capacity at the local or state level either as an association secretary, treasurer, vice president, or president.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the NAHB Leadership Training Conference Grant, applicants must fulfill the following requirements:

  • NAHB membership in good standing.
  • Currently serving in a leadership capacity at the local or state level as an association secretary, treasurer, vice president or president.
  • Have not previously attended an NAHB Leadership Training Conference (Also known as Area Leadership Training Conferences).
  • Agree to submit post event feedback about their event experience.

How to Apply

Please complete the form linked below. Each registration must include one Letter of Endorsement from your local or state HBA Executive Officer, a NAHB National Area Chairman (NAC), or an NAHB State Representative supporting your attendance. Only one Letter of Endorsement is required. Incomplete applications or those received after the deadline will not be considered.
