Honest Abe Log Homes Customizes Westfield Layout for Daughter of Lincoln Artist and Biographer
When Roxanne McDade began her search for log home builders near Bethel, Ohio, her discovery of Tom Isaacs, an independent dealer who is part of Honest Abe Log Homes’ national dealer network, felt like fate. McDade already had a strong connection to the former president that gave Honest Abe its name: her father was a Lincoln historian, collector, author and artist.
After working with Honest Abe’s in-house design team to modify the 2-storey Westfield floor plan to accommodate her needs and desires, she is certain she made the right choice.
The McDade home sits near a stream on five acres of lush Ohio land, with wrap-around porches for spending as much time as possible taking in the idyllic scenery. When it’s too cold for sitting outside, the wood-burning fireplace makes the living room a cozy haven from the chill. With two guest bedrooms in addition to the master, 2.5 bathrooms, a loft space and a 720 sq. ft. garage, it’s the perfect place to host family during the holidays.
