NAHB has partnered with SkillsUSA, a national education nonprofit focused on workforce development. The partnership will help close the skilled labor gap and create a workforce that is essential to meet the strong demand for housing.

It sponsors the SkillsUSA Championships annually to recognize the achievements of career and technical education students and to encourage them to strive for excellence and pride in their chosen occupations.
NAHB encourages all those who are interested in helping to attract the best and the brightest to the residential construction industry to take part in SkillsUSA activities. There are several ways to get involved:

- Be a mentor to a student. By sharing your knowledge, experience and expertise, you can help foster the confidence and encourage the curiosity of students who want to pursue a residential construction career.
